Open Top Containers

Open top container

Ideal for Tall and Top-Loaded Cargo

Open top containers have a removable roof bowing or tarpaulin cover instead of a solid top, allowing cargo that exceeds standard container height to be top-loaded by crane. Open tops are ideal for tall machinery, steel coils, stone slabs, glass panels, and other cargo that cannot enter through standard doors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

Open top containers have side and end walls. Flat racks have end walls only (or none), suitable for extra-wide cargo. Open tops are better for tall but width-compliant cargo.

A heavy tarpaulin cover is used but it is not 100% waterproof. Cargo should be appropriately packaged or protected against moisture.
