The Marwest LLC internship programme offers undergraduate students a structured, hands-on introduction to freight forwarding. Our internships are paid, project-based, and designed to give genuine work experience. Over 8–12 weeks, you will contribute to live projects, work alongside experienced professionals, and gain insight into one of the world's most complex and exciting industries.

Work with our freight coordinators on live shipments. Learn how containers are booked, tracked, documented, and cleared through customs.

Customs & Documentation Track

Support our customs brokers on US or China clearance cases. Learn how to classify goods, prepare commercial invoices, and file CBP/GACC entries.

Trade Finance Track

Work with our finance team on USD holding accounts and LC processing. Learn how trade finance instruments work in real import/export transactions.

Data & Technology Track

Support our data team with shipment analytics, carrier performance tracking, and client reporting. Python/Excel experience helpful.

Africa Operations Track

Work in our Lomé or Windhoek office on live freight movements, customs clearance, and client support. Exceptional for students interested in Africa logistics.

Structure

How the Internship Works

Weeks 1–2 Orientation

Comprehensive induction covering the freight industry, Marwest LLC's operations, compliance requirements, and your placement's tools and systems.

📋

Weeks 3–10 Live Projects

You are assigned to a senior professional and contribute to real, live projects. Your work has genuine impact on actual shipments and clients.

🎤

Final Week Presentation

In your final week, you present your project findings and learnings to a panel of senior managers — a valuable career experience.

Who Can Apply

Current undergraduate students (any discipline, any university) in their penultimate or final year. Postgraduate students also welcome.

How to Apply

When to Apply

Internships run year-round. Summer cohorts (June–August) fill fastest — apply by 31 March for summer placements.

Selection Process

Application review → 30-minute video call → offer letter. We aim to respond within 10 business days of receiving your application.
