The Marwest LLC Graduate Programme is a 24-month rotational programme designed for top graduates who want to build a career in international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, trade finance, or logistics management. Graduates rotate through four departments across two countries, gaining unparalleled breadth of experience in one of the world's most dynamic industries.
The programme runs for 24 months across 4 rotations of 6 months each. Rotations span operations, customs, trade finance, and commercial/sales.
At least one 6-month rotation is international — in our China or Africa offices — giving graduates hands-on exposure to non-US markets.
Graduates complete a tailored learning curriculum including IATA cargo certification, customs broker exam preparation, and trade finance fundamentals.
Learn the end-to-end freight forwarding process. Manage actual shipments, coordinate with carriers, and handle customs documentation under supervision.
Work in our Shandong office on export documentation, factory liaison, GACC compliance, and Chinese supplier communication.
Work alongside our US customs brokers on CBP entries, ISF filings, and trade compliance. Preparation for the Licensed Customs Broker exam.
Choose a specialisation: join our trade finance team managing LC and USD accounts, or our commercial team developing client relationships and new business.
Each graduate is assigned a senior logistics professional as their personal mentor for the full 24 months — someone with 15+ years in the industry.
Monthly one-on-one reviews with your mentor and HR Business Partner track your progress and ensure the programme is delivering.
A bespoke development plan is created at the start of the programme, setting clear goals, milestones, and the certification pathway that's right for you.
The majority of our programme alumni progress to Operations Manager or equivalent within 3 years of graduation — well ahead of the industry average.
Over 60% of alumni hold international roles — managing branches, key accounts, or regional desks in China, Africa, or Europe.
Top-rated alumni are fast-tracked into our leadership development pipeline, with access to executive coaching and stretch assignments.
To apply, hold or expect a bachelor's degree (any discipline) with a minimum 2:1 / 3.0 GPA. Send your CV, a 500-word personal statement, and two references to careers@marwestllc.com. Programme starts September each year; applications close 28 February.
